Telephone surveys At our CATI laboratories (CATI = Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing) in Adligenswil and Geneva, we have a total of 278 workstations at our disposal and conduct far in excess of 300,000 telephone interviews a year. The main advantage of these central laboratories from the clients point of view is that they enable clients to follow the interviews direct from our premises and clients can be present in person when the interviewers are briefed. For us, the CATI labs make a significant contribution to quality assurance as they enable the interviewing process to be permanently and efficiently supervised. In the event of changes being made to the research procedure - e.g. modifications to the questionnaire or new contacting procedures - the interviewers can be notified quickly and simply. And last but not least, this centralised solution allows us to carry out telephone surveys very quickly.
