Telephone survey
From its in-house telephone laboratories, DemoSCOPE conducts more than 200,000 interviews each year in all national languages, carried out by an experienced pool of interviewers. These form the basis for representative surveys as well as high-quality target-group-specific studies.
We carry out extensive and complex multi-year studies on behalf of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), topic-specific ad hoc studies involving a wide range of target groups, as well as hotline services. Our integrated telephony software enables a broad spectrum of telephone services, including outbound and inbound calling, direct interviews during incoming calls, and the prioritisation of specific sub-target groups. Telephone interviews can also be seamlessly combined with other survey methods. Various interfaces support a wide range of hotline and feedback channels, allowing respondents to communicate their preferred appointment times and availability for telephone interviews according to their individual needs.
At our two locations in Adligenswil and Fribourg, we maintain a large, experienced, and multilingual pool of telephone interviewers. Study-specific training, professional and continuous supervision, and detailed monitoring ensure the highest quality of fieldwork.
Careful selection of addresses and telephone numbers from sampling registers or professional address brokers enables telephone surveys among very specific target groups. By combining listed landline numbers with randomly generated mobile phone numbers—the so-called dual-frame approach—it is also possible to create methodologically robust samples through cold recruitment, allowing for representative surveys that meet the highest standards.
